How many units should a person with learning disability take in college each semester? - learning disability more condition_symptoms

My parents call me for a full-time students per semester, if the insurance coverage for me, which means I have to take at least 12 units per semester.

If you are learning difficulties and has been a full-time student, tells me about his experience) (good or bad. How good are you?

Consultant advised me to a part-time students is not more than 3 classes or 9 units per semester.

Your parents should contact the insurance company and explain that you will need a student with a disability and an accommodation that smaller classes. What if 9 unit is a full-time.

It would be helpful to have documentation of the college advisor.

The advice of the consultant is that one should follow.

I have an autistic spectrum disorder and I am a full-time students in the third semester of Law. I took my first semester of 14.5 credit classes was 5, my second semester I had 16 credits. Now in my third semester I will take only 12 credits, because it has become more difficult and stress in school, so I make my burden.

You can always start the classes, such as 4 and then just a few drops, until you feel comfortable with what you have. I dropped my Spanish classes today because the class was too stressful for me and the teacher was terrible.

I do not know exactly what you are fighting with everything I really do not know what to avoid, what to do and can advise you. For me, I can learn visually, I get very stressed and teamwork is surrounded by many people, I can not speak to the class and maintain attention. For this reason, I can the courses that they can process each select as needed.

Depends on the attitude of the person. If the student wants to bad enough, it will not allow anything or anyone to stop, regardless of what might be expected to believe.

I tried to take 15 credits in the spring semester of 1997 in order to maintain financial support, little to say, I lost my help anyway, not because he bear the burden. My family was too stressful for me to study and I leave the school.

But after almost 9 years ago I decided to go back to school again was wrong, my family totally against it, but have forgotten (), which are always full, but unlike the previous two succeeded in spite of a 4.00 GPA my dependents to do their best to make life hell for me.

EDIT: Al-Nay Sayers, me thumbs down, it is clear to me that you really believe that the disabled can not do anything but clean up after the normal people in society. It's really a shame, because it slowed down for us, "disabled" can succeed in life beyond our wildest dreams if we are sufficiently independent of HinderCles obstacle that could be us.

Staci: Follow your heart and let no one be discouraged. Good luck!

I have a disability, and I am a full-time students, I plan my classes so I am working only two days a week, very much and two days ago, but the advantage is that I have four days to work on tasks and reading . In the summer are in full-time with six units. If your institution is a department for disabled students have to join them, can be in a position to intervene on their behalf.

Your parents want you to be in a position covered by insurance. Your advisor does not care about that.

Go all the time ... This saves time and money in the long term. I really want to attend and to work quickly.

You need to study harder opportunities and courses, take the easy to complete.

I have severe dyslexia and I am a great school with an English limited. IIN I have a degree in graphic design and had a distinguished career in advertising / marketing and industrial printing. I hope to teach the third year - but a great year of breakthroughs for children.

Not bad for someone who simply read "and write"

Of course, I am also 50 years - but that's another matter.

I take 14 hours - I want more hours - but not this semester. Perhaps next semester.

Ok. Then make an appointment with the psychiatrist / psychologist, and his assistance in a program that fits your ability to learn - if you leave a auditory learner or a student, etc. kenesthetic And you're your university is also involved - the legally required to provide reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. This means that if you can not deal with evidence - you give them orally, or can also be another way. But if you say they do not - they do not know. Also, make sure that the university about your disability.

I wish I had 12 hours - and make sure that at least one type of Phys Education - what it is - fencing, dancing, so that half are waiting to give - a physical activity.

There are things to do - make sure not to sit to read. Go through the numbers - according to the rules do not complain -.

So, nix the idea of the party - Ok maybe a big party in the middle - but the party till you drop is a good way to do well in school. Seriously - it is how many students in the college pump - so much fun, instead of biology or economics.

If you're a girl, you're their MRS in school for a BA is not. Survey - which is what you are. His second home should be the library or in the laboratory - and not her boyfriend ... dormroom

Hope this helps.
